Brantridge School held its first Maths Day
A company called The Problem Solving Company ran a workshop with each class on problem solving. The activities varied from a giant electronic coordinates maze to tangrams and the Towers of Hanoi. Throughout the day pupils participated in different maths tasks. The aim was to promote Maths outside the classroom and problem solving. Pupils followed a maths trail around the school, used their Maths eyes to create a poster and played Maths games. We held a Brantridge School Sumdog competition and Cassius (Year 5) came in first place, closely followed by Ashley (Yr 7) in second place. Over half the school took part and they should all feel very proud of their effort.
