Fishbourne Roman Palace
25th June 2015
Mercury Class visited Fishbourne Roman Palace this week to take part in an interactive workshop introducing Roman life. The children found out what people did at Fishbourne 2000 years ago. The practical workshop gave children a chance to experiment with a variety of hands-on activities including mosaic-making, writing on wax tablets, spinning wool, arch and roof building and role play in the Roman kitchen. During the workshop they also got the opportunity to dress as a slave or in full Roman costume.
