Wakehurst Place in Ardingly

30th November 2015

Our topic this half term is The Rainforest. We decided to take the boys to Wakehurst Place in Ardingly  West Sussex, so they could explore some spectacular hands-on activities like seed dispersal and where seeds come from and a rainforest workshop to further their knowledge about flora and fauna of a rainforest and the extraordinary ecosystem that rainforests provide for our planet.

This also tied in with our Science topic this half term, which is Plants.

They also explored a rainforest trail within the gardens, to find plants and trees that might be native to the rainforest.

I am sure that the boys benefitted from this very interesting trip to Wakehurst Place as the boys have been thoroughly enjoying the topic.
